Pendulum

I wasted
            a lifetime
                        on your love
                                         your lies
                                                     your
                                                             faded eyes
                                                only to be
                                 left hungry
            wanting nothing;
would you
       come
       back,
       once
       so I can say
                       no?
and then, the third time she came
      I had to oblige.
And thus spoke she:
you made thou calling
nothing contemptible therein;
     “stay, till
a cold and stiff companion
you bury”, i requested
